Ingredients: Grained 100% green tea
Preparation:It is recommended to steep 1-2 grams of tea in 250 ml of water at a temperature of 66°C – 77°C and whisk it for 6-8 minutes until it reaches a foam form. The most used tea in Japanese tea ceremonies, Matcha tea, is prepared differently compared to other teas. To prepare Matcha tea, begin by heating the bowl you’ll use for mixing by pouring hot water into it. Wet the utensil used for mixing, known as a “bamboo whisk” or “chasen” in tea ceremonies. Place 1-2 grams of Matcha in the bowl, which is called “Chawan” in Japanese, and add one cup of hot water. Hold the bowl securely with one hand while using the bamboo whisk with the other to create froth by whisking from left to right. After sufficient whisking, pour the Matcha tea into your cup.
